Chopsticks
Like I said, I’m a 忍者 at using 箸 thanks to Ming (my Chinese mum).
I had no worries until I found an extensive etiquette guide with picky ルール like this:
- Don’t use chopsticks to drag a bowl over toward you.
- Don’t use them to wave or point or spear food or play around.
- To take food from a common dish, flip them around and use the clean end.
- Don’t pass food from your chopsticks to another person’s chopsticks.
- Don’t stick them vertically in rice. (That’s a funeral ritual.)
- After use, lay them side-by-side with the tips pointing to the left.
Today, I felt like making a guessing game.
