TV STAR!

This wartawan really put me on the spot by asking for an interview on camera. How did I do? How would anyone do, trying to speak a new language in front of millions of native speakers?

At first I didn't quite understand all the words.

WARTAWAN : Selamat pagi teman-teman*! Hari ini kita di kota Jakarta dengan acara TV 'Remaja-remaja suka melakukan apa di kota Jakarta?' Nah, ini ada teman... Permisi... saya mau bertanya...

*I love that if they want to make a word plural, they just double it. Teman: a friend. Teman-teman: friends! Remaja: a teen. Remaja-remaja: teens! Double-doubles are fun to say in an exotic Dr. Seuss kind of way.
